Carl Meadows

Director

Carl Meadows is Director of Product Management at AWS and is responsible for Amazon OpenSearch Service and the OpenSearch project. In his role, Carl oversees product management and customer success teams for Amazon OpenSearch Service, and product management, UX, documentation and go-to-market teams for the OpenSearch project. Carl has been with Amazon OpenSearch Service since before it was launched in 2015.

Carl has a long history of working in the enterprise software and cloud services spaces with leadership positions at Symantec, Engine Yard, and Sungard Availability Services. Carl got his MBA here in Austin at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas and his undergraduate degree was a BA from Berklee College of Music in Music Production and Engineering.

When not working, Carl enjoys hanging out with his teenage daughter and making and recording music.
