WebAssembly is a replacement for JavaScript! C++/Rust developers can now code front-end applications! WebAssembly is faster than JavaScript! WebAssembly! WebAssembly! How many times do you hear these statements? Me, a lot. In this talk I collect the most popular myths about WebAssembly and try to uncover the truth through the eyes of a beginner. Normally Web Assembly mainly associated as a technology that changes the web as we know it by allowing us to compile other languages to run in browsers, along with many other uses and benefits. This is completely true! But Web Assembly is a lot more! Today Web Assembly is used outside the browser to build performant applications on the edge, mobile devices etc. Discover what WebAssembly is (and isn’t), how to use WebAssembly, and how it affects the way we program for the web and beyond! I will also show a simple demonstration to showcase how to use Web Assembly with JavaScript
