To be successful in difficult times, every organization will need to be compliant AND cyber-secure. Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs) will play a key role, but have only recently come to the forefront. This session will examine the tension between cybersecurity and compliance, how different stakeholders react to this, the latest on the White House Executive Order on Cybersecurity, changes in the software supply chain and how OS communities are trying to adapt, the efforts of the Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF), and what your OSPO can do today to start planning for better security in your own software supply chain.
